In 2025, the crypto market is heading towards finesse and stability. And the two big tokens taking charge for the same are XRP and Solana. However, there is one thing in common between them. Both of them are driven by maximum ETFs.
The manifestation of a new Donald Trump Pro crypto scheme is helping it happen. Meanwhile, the US Security and Exchange Commission is promoting the Solana ETA application. It has also initiated proposals for multiple ETFs under XRP.
Chairperson Gary Gensler’s release is also playing a critical role in taking care of unnecessary regulatory protocols.
Which one’s a market favorite?
The market is enigmatic with batting on which is the best among the two. Versatile traders would surely prefer Solana which offers better short-term rewards. They feel that there is as high as 85% chance of historic ETF approvals in favor of Solana.
Meanwhile, the new Donald Trump era is more welcoming than ever. ETFs couldn’t play a message role for Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin. Gary was the chairperson then. But few reports flying in this week, confirm that the path to achieving historic ETF values would not be as smooth as anticipated for Solana.
The main challenge would be legal disputes and regulatory challenges. It has not yet been legally declared as a security in the US. Once these challenges are done with, Solana can be a compelling case for the US government for earlier consideration.
XRP is free from challenges
The legal issues cannot restrict XRP on the other hand. In this ETF duel, XRP has full clarity over its standing and nature. It is not a security as ruled by the district court. Meanwhile, there is another thing that could play at large too.
Ripple has a huge influence over XRP, and you cannot ignore that. It increases the concerns regarding centralization. On that note, the SEC will consider those which play a critical role in the decentralization process.
Trader’s take
There are slight challenges for both. But both are equally equipped to claim historic ETFs as soon as possible. However, there is one coin- Litecoin that is free from both of these issues. This token might leapfrog.
The longer market history and clear and potential market position will play in favor. We have to wait till March 2025 to have a clear perspective about who’s going to win this ETF race.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Most traders vote-in for Solana. However, Litecoin also has great prospects.
