How does STRK’s tokenomics differ from other ZK-rollup tokens like ZKsync’s ZK?

STRK has a fixed supply of 10 billion tokens with structured unlocks, while ZKsync uses dynamic minting/burning. Starknet also allocates a larger share (40%) to community incentives compared to many competitors.

Can STRK be used outside the Starknet ecosystem?

No, STRK is native to Starknet but can be bridged to Ethereum and other chains via third-party protocols. Its primary utility remains gas fees, staking, and governance within Starknet.

Does STRK have inflation risks from staking rewards?

Staking rewards come from transaction fees, not new token minting, preventing inflationary pressure. However, future governance could alter this model.

What happens to STRK if Ethereum switches to full ZK-rollups long-term?

Starknet’s value proposition remains strong as it specializes in ZK-tech, but competition with Ethereum’s native scaling could pressure demand.

Are there any hidden risks in STRK’s smart contracts?

Starknet’s contracts are audited, but risks include potential bugs in its novel STARK prover or governance exploits.

How do STRK’s transaction fees compare to other ZK-rollups?

Fees are typically lower than zkSync but slightly higher than Polygon zkEVM due to STARK proofs’ computational intensity.

Could STRK face delisting risks due to regulatory scrutiny?

If regulators classify ZK tokens as securities, some exchanges may delist STRK, though its utility features may provide defense.

What percentage of STRK is controlled by the StarkWare team?

Around 30% is allocated to core contributors (vested over 4 years), raising concerns over centralization if not decentralized in practice.

How does STRK’s governance differ from Optimism’s OP token?

STRK votes on Starknet’s protocol upgrades, while OP focuses more on grants. Starknet’s governance is more technical but less active currently.

Is STRK’s price correlated more with ETH or other ZK tokens?

STRK shows stronger correlation with ETH than ZK-specific tokens, as Starknet’s growth depends on Ethereum’s L2 demand.
