In a recent interview, the Ripple CEO gave his opinion on the regulatory space and projection of Ripple’s future. He discussed how the recent changes in regulatory conditions could positively affect the crypto industry and change its future path. Additionally, he also gave his opinion on the future of his company and how it can grow in this new space. Ripple Brad Garlinghouse has had his own experience with regulatory scrutiny as the SEC Ripple lawsuit recently ended. This marked the end of a four-year-long legal battle, which has cost Ripple both funds, investments, and partnerships.
Ripple Eyes U.S. Comeback Under Trump
The crypto giant’s CEO used this interview to shed more light on the SEC Ripple lawsuit, highlighting its effects. Based on his statement, 95% of Ripple’s client base is in other countries, as the XRP lawsuit created domestic problems. However, he stressed that with Donald Trump’s reelection, Ripple will once again start to expand its local client base. Additionally, Ripple’s local business proposition numbers are higher in the months of Trump’s presidency than in the six months preceding it. As such, the company is seeing domestic interest and will increase its local growth exponentially.
Ripple to Transform U.S. Finance in 20 Years
Ripple Brad Garlinghouse also gave his projections about the future role of his company in the USA’s financial system. He stated that in the next 10 to 20 years, we will see how Ripple’s innovative solutions change the market. In his opinion, Ripple will integrate and change the payment and securities transaction system in the USA. As such, the general financial structure of the country will be affected by Ripple and its new payment system.
As I said today on @MorningsMaria, I strongly believe we are UNDERESTIMATING what it means to unlock the US market through upcoming crypto legislation as well as previous guidance / statements rescinded from the SEC and OCC allowing FIs to work with crypto.

In the interview, we also saw Garlinghouse’s reaction to the United States president’s pro-crypto policies. The Ripple CEO mentioned the creation of the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve and the Digital Asset Stockpile. He stressed that Trump has made the US a much better place for crypto companies to grow and prosper. He argued that now that the regulatory space is more crypto-friendly, more institutions and corporations are open to crypto integration. This change could be observed even in governmental institutions, as Federal Banks now have the OCC’s permission to integrate crypto.
Crypto Advocates in Congress: Shaping the Future
The efforts of other officials, such as representatives and senators, were also highlighted by Ripple Brad Garlinghouse. He specifically named House Representative French Hill and Senator Cynthia Lummis as crypto-friendly figures and stressed the importance of their efforts. The stablecoin and market structure bills represent some of their most important works for enhancing the crypto regulatory space. Additionally, Senator Cynthia Lummis has also recently announced that she will reintroduce the Bitcoin Act. This law will focus on codifying Trump’s Strategic Bitcoin Reserve, making it harder to change in future administrations.
Garlinghouse also provided some predictions related to the pro-crypto regulatory changes in the US. The Ripple CEO stated that clear regulations give clients assurance that their business and investment will not be in danger. As such, this can bring more customers to crypto companies, as users are no longer afraid of regulatory scrutiny. He continued to stress the importance of regulatory progress for the USA’s economy. He stated that this will lead to more job creation and innovation, bringing in more capital to the nation.
From Resistance to Recognition: US Crypto Transformation
The change in the Federal approach to the Crypto industry is seeing massive overhauls from the last administration. The recent XRP lawsuit’s dismissal by the SEC is the prime example of this shift in attitude towards cryptocurrencies. As such, with clear regulations and lawmaker’s efforts for the crypto industry’s prosperity, the US can become a global crypto leader.
