Leading crypto exchange Binance has partnered with Kazakhstan’s largest airline, Air Astana, to enable travelers to convert their accumulated flight points into cryptocurrency.

The partnership will have a promotional period between February 1 and February 28, allowing Air Astana’s loyal customers to convert their accumulated flight points into BUSD equivalent. Furthermore, the point conversion can only be done on Binance.
Air Astana has been operational since May 2002 and has over 40 local and international route networks. The airline is a joint venture of NW Samruk-Kazyna (51%ownership) and BAE Systems (49% ownership) and has over 42 fleets of aircraft. It is a 10-time winner of the Skytrax Award for Best Airline in Central Asia.
Rewarding Nomad Club Members with Crypto
The partnership with Air Astana is aimed at its Nomad club members. Nomad club has existed since 2007 and has over 500,000 regular flight users. Air Astana will now allow members to own crypto assets by converting their loyalty points to their BNB equivalent, among other benefits provided in the past.
The conversion process will necessitate Nomad members registering on Binance if they do not already have an account. They will also undergo primary verification during the promotional period and receive 10 BUSD after successful confirmation.
Nomad members can then complete a questionnaire, including their Nomad membership number and how many points they want to convert to BUSD. Binance will credit the user’s account with the corresponding amount of their points in BNB within 14 days.
Binance Continues Push for Mass Crypto Adoption
Binance has continued its move to keep preaching the crypto gospel worldwide. The firm has before now obtained regulatory permission to operate in several parts of the world. It has partnered with a few non-crypto firms to grow digital asset adoption further.
“Partnership between Binance and Air Astana marked the beginning of the interaction between cryptocurrency ecosystem and corporation with large loyalty programs,” the general manager of Binance in Karzashtan, Zhaslan Madiyev, said.
“The use of advanced digital solutions such as blockchain and cryptocurrency will open the world of innovation for the national companies,” he added.
Zlaslan noted that the partnership with Air Astana is another step in its movement to drive mass adoption of cryptocurrencies worldwide. He also stated that he is proud that Binance is playing a huge part in the movement to make digital assets accepted everywhere in the world.
