Worldcoin’s World ID, Now Available Across Philippines

The World Network is launched in the Philippines finally. New Orb Verification launched, to tackle cyber frauds. Will it succeed?

Exciting news for the Filipinos, finally! They can finally access World ID now. A Worldcoin spokesperson broke the news today!

Open AI CEO Sam Altman is gleaming with hope as the coin reached the 10 million user mark this month. Meanwhile, only 75% of the token has been distributed. But Altman is genuinely excited about his World ID more than the trading volume of his Worldcoin.

While only 10 million tokens exist, already 23 million people are using the World ID, another innovation from Worldcoin’s end.

If you want a safe and anonymous trading experience on the crypto platform, then there’s nothing better than a World ID. The same World ID is finally available for Filipinos now! At first, World ID was launched in and around Bulacan only. But it will soon be available throughout the Philippines.

    World ID Selling Like Anything

Filipinos can now tackle all scams and frauds in crypto trading. The likes of which include online fraud, misleading data, deepfakes, and more! With World ID, you can also separate yourself from AI bots.

    Why the Philippines?

Cybercrime is a genuine problem here. In the last 2 years, deepfake scams increased 4500% in the Philippines. Hence, a resistance check like the World ID is a must for the country. Moreover, the Philippines is the most connected country in the world that thrives on social media.

    Challenged Ahead

Despite the plausible benefits of World ID, some challenges remain. Worldcoin Orb Philippines has caused controversies regarding biometric data collection.

The source collects a lot of personal data without consent. Hence, deepfake scammers can use it as a prime data source. In 2023, The Kenyan Government first realized this amorous potential of World ID and stopped its operations.

Worldcoin also faced similar issues in France, Spain, Brazil, South Korea, etc. Worldcoin also faced the rashes of users for their deceptive registration strategy.

    Worldcoin’s defense

The World Network claims that biometric data is stored safely on the users’ devices, using privacy tools like zero-knowledge proofs. In their defense, The World Network did a rebranding a few months ago.

Meanwhile, they also launched an L-2 network and promised better compliance with the data protection laws. But their weak setup remains a concern in countries like the Philippines, where data laws are too weak!
