Worldcoin Wallet App Surpasses 1M Daily Users Milestone

Worldcoin

Worldcoin has remained in the headlines in recent weeks amid impressive growth within its ecosystem.

In a groundbreaking development, World App, the first digital wallet for the Worldcoin ecosystem, surpassed 1 million daily active users on Sunday.

Described as a “minimalist wallet,” World App was launched to complement the release of World ID, an identification protocol that verifies identity using iris recognition without compromising privacy.

World App enables users to sign into websites, mobile apps, and decentralized applications (dApps) by utilizing World ID to prove they are unique and real persons without sharing personal data like names or emails – using zero-knowledge proofs. The app also features a built-in, gas-free crypto wallet supporting Worldcoin token (WLD), USD Coin (USDC), wrapped ether (WETH), and wrapped bitcoin (WBTC).

A Record High

This marks the first time the wallet has seen 1 million active daily users since its launch in May 2023. Moreover, the milestone represents a significant progression from the just 100,000 daily active users seen in November last year.

At the time, Tools for Humanity (TFH), the team behind the development of World App, revealed that the World App downloads, transactions, and user base had grown significantly.

The team stated that in the first six months of World App’s launch, it surpassed 4 million downloads, ranking it the world’s sixth most popular hot wallet.

During that same period, the app also saw 100,000 daily active users and 500,000 weekly active users. Additionally, the app saw its monthly active users double to more than 1 million worldwide and recorded 22 million transactions.

WLD Skyrockets

Meanwhile, the latest 1 million active daily users milestone coincides with the rally in the WLD token. Over the past week, WLD has skyrocketed by more than 193%, surpassing the $7.60 mark for the first time.

Analysts attribute this rally to the growing interest in the Worldcoin ecosystem and the positive sentiment surrounding the launch of Sora, a text-to-video AI model that generates video clips from user prompts.
