Ubique Tag Partners VeChain to Trace and Combat Fake Liquors

Ubique Tag, a global leader in providing professional RFID products and solutions, has partnered with VeChain to improve liquor products’ traceability for companies like Baijiu Liquor of Yanghe and Shuangqu, two subsidiary brands under Jiangsu Yanghe Brewery Joint-Stock Co., Ltd.

Ubique Tag is the major provider of the anti-counterfeiting technology for Yanghe Group and has now adopted the IoT+blockchain traceability solution built on VeChain blockchain, using double QR codes on both bottle and box for cross-verification. 

The blockchain solution will combat large-scale counterfeiting of liquor and alcohol products and the inability to trace these products effectively, which have greatly affected the liquor industry and endanger customers’ lives. 

Manufacturing, distribution, and other related data at important stages of the product life cycle will be stored on the VeChainThor blockchain. This allows customers to access product information whenever they scan the QR codes on the products. 

Apart from gaining access to product information, customers are guaranteed the authenticity of the products they have purchased with the double codes feature, which they can use to check if the bottle has been opened or not.

The alliance is also a big boost to the blockchain industry as it exposes VeChain ToolChain to more of Ubique’s clients across other industries. This will, in turn, increase the on-chain value and transactions on the VeChain blockchain.
