Trump-Backed “American Bitcoin” IPO Set for September 2025

An initiative supported by Trump, called American Bitcoin, is allegedly gearing to be introduced to the market in September 2025. The decision, supported by Donald Trump, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., will introduce a political dimension to the 2.5 trillion cryptocurrency market.

Strategic Bitcoin Reserve Signals U.S. Policy Shift

An order issued by the White House on March 18, 2025, instructed the Treasury to move all digital assets owned by the government into a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve in 30 days. The institutional adoption is increasing, and holdings have exceeded over 100 billion, despite the holdings by large players such as MicroStrategy, which have more than 252,000 BTC by August 2025. Analysts assume that the IPO will catalyze a 1020 percent increase in the price of Bitcoin due to hype in the retail market and institutional support. Nevertheless, there is still the issue of centralization and regulatory controls, as the Trump family has almost a complete monopoly on the new venture, and the SEC still changes its attitude towards cryptocurrency based financial products.

The American Bitcoin IPO is no exception to the trend, as it intensifies the boundary between decentralized principles and centralized corporate or political governance.
