Strides Towards Global Adoption: Tether Signed An MoU With The Republic Of Guinea

The crypto community is going through a transitory evolutionary phase. As a result, everywhere you look, something or another is happening. In a recent turn of events, Tether will be collaborating with the Republic of Guinea to further blockchain understanding and sustainability. This collaboration could bring a brighter future for the people of Guinea and advance blockchain technology for the future.

The announcement came on February 17th and soon took over the blockchain industry. People started speculating about the reasons that led to such collaboration. The official statement states, ‘This strategic collaboration aims to explore blockchain and peer-to-peer technologies, the possibility of driving economic growth, and positioning the country as a leader in Africa’s digital transformation.’

    Improving Economy & Blockchain

The company has emphasized that this collaboration would lay the foundation for a more robust and organic digital asset adoption in the private and public sectors. Tether states that the MoU signed between the two parties ‘underscores Tether’s commitment to supporting blockchain adoption globally, aligning with its mission to foster innovation, education, and the responsible use of digital assets.’

Tether further states, ‘ The MoU aims to focus on education, innovation, and sustainable technology practices while facilitating the transfer of international knowledge and best practices to Guinea.’ Sources claim Tetherr would work closely with local institutions to support blockchain and build Gunea’s economy. Therefore, there are larger objectives at play here.

Guinea’s leadership seems to have accepted this intervention and is looking to take advantage of it. As per the chief of staff to the Presidency of Guinea, M. Djiba Diakité, “The signing of this MoU between the Republic of Guinea and Tether represents a major strategic step forward in our quest for an inclusive and sustainable digital transformation.”

Meanwhile, the Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research, and Innovation, M. Alpha Bacar Barry, states, “This will enable us to strengthen our educational and scientific infrastructures while equipping our young people to meet the challenges and seize the opportunities of the global digital transformation.”

The new collaboration between Guinea and Tether is not a one-of-a-kind situation. Tether has also worked with nations like the UAE, Turkey, and Uzbekistan to build a robust blockchain infrastructure. As a result, helping the world understand blockchain one nation at a time.
