Swiss Firms Unveils Institution-Focused Crypto-Asset Management

Metaco, AlgoTrader, and Cysec today announced a partnership expected to offer a comprehensive crypto-asset management ecosystem for financial institutions, Finextra reported.

The partnership which is built upon the complementary core competencies and leadership of the three Swiss companies would grant financial institutions the ability to manage the entire life-cycle of their crypto assets, ranging from secured storage and management to automated trading and execution.

The report noted that until now, most financial intermediaries, including brokers, banks, and asset managers, endlessly sought technology solutions that will ensure the management and security of crypto assets.

However, the new solution solves that problem by combining best-in-class crypto asset storage and management technology from Metaco’s subsidiary SILO, hardware security from Cysec, and an institutional-grade automated trading execution from AlgoTrader.

“We believe that to achieve wider adoption of crypto assets, financial institutions need a solution to onboard, manage and trade crypto assets,” CEO of Cysec SA, Patrick Trinkler said, adding that the consortium is set to provide a fully integrated technology stack.

Custodians via the partnership can quickly adopt emerging crypto asset class, while swiftly bridging between their cryptocurrency and traditional portfolios, as the announcement is coming at a time of increased institutional interest in digital assets.

The firms will be able to benefit from global client networks in U.S, Switzerland, and the APAC region through the collaboration, and also forge business development and product development synergies which will reinforce their strategic positioning in Switzerland and other countries, according to the report.

“We are heading towards the tokenization of our economy; ensuring that its foundations are secure and integrated is not an option, it is imperative,” CEO and Founder of Metaco, Adrien Treccani added.

While the development today is meant for the financial intermediaries, we reported earlier that KuCoin has already launched a new feature that enables all its users to upkeep their crypto assets while they are trading.
