Shiba Inu Team Announces December Giveaway, Details

The team behind Shib Inu, the second-largest memecoin by market cap, has announced an exciting giveaway event scheduled to take place in December. The offer which will kickstart the Christmas season, has sent excitement throughout the SHIB community, as its dedicated members eagerly await their reward.

Earlier today, Shiba Inu’s marketing lead, Lucie, took to X (formerly Twitter) to reveal the exciting news. According to her, the team has approved a budget for a massive Christmas giveaway.

Tagged the “Amazing Christmas BONE December,” the team promises to reward every member who participates during the promotional event using Bone Shibaswap (BONE) or other tokens in the Shiba Inu ecosystem.

Initial Instructions for Giveaway

Though Lucie did not give the exact start date in her tweet, she gave some instructions to the community in preparation. She urged the community to follow certain Shiba Inu dev team accounts including lead dev Shytoshi Kusama, and Kaal Dhairya.

Moreover, she also asked the community to follow two accounts linked to the Shiba Inu ecosystem, TREAT token and Shibarium Updates. Ultimately, she encouraged the community to stay alert and check for subsequent updates because it would be “huge.”

Community Questions Choice of Token

Meanwhile, the announcement was met with much optimism from the community. Members rallied with excitement expressing their readiness for the kickoff.

However, some members questioned the choice of the token, asking why BONE was used instead of Shiba Inu.

While there was no clear response to this question by the Shiba Inu team, it is assumed that BONE was strategically selected as a means of promotion to increase the adoption of the coin.

BONE and Shiba Inu Reactions Following Announcement

Meanwhile, the announcement has had a positive impact on the trajectory of BONE and the underlying Shiba Inu token.

Over the last 24 hours, BONE has experienced a notable rally, jumping by 1.71% to trade at $0.5426. However, its one-day trading volume declined by 26% to rest at $7.34 million with a live market cap of $125 million.

The ecosystem lead token, Shiba Inu, saw a more impressive uptick of 3.49% over the same period to trade at $0.00002605. Similarly, SHIB’s trading volume declined in the last 24 hours by 28% to $753 million with a live market cap of $15.35 billion.
