The Winklevoss brothers-led Gemini exchange announced today their partnership with Samsung Electronics Co. to offer easier access and use for Bitcoin and digital assets.
The new partnership between Gemini and Samsung will enable users to trade cryptocurrencies easily and efficiently store their assets on mobile phones, using the inbuilt blockchain wallet on new models of Samsung smartphones such as the Galaxy S20 series.
The managing director of operations at Gemini, Jeanine Hightower-Sellitto, explained the partnership but did not disclose the terms of the deal.
“It’s a full integration between the two apps that’s very transparent and very easy to use. It’s all integrated,” he said.
“Gemini’s app will integrate with the blockchain wallet on phones such as the Samsung Galaxy S20 Series and Galaxy Z Flip. The integration feature won’t work on Verizon Communications Inc.’s network,” the company further revealed in the announcement.
The Winklevoss brothers in their tweet to announce the good news referenced Wednesday’s warning sent out by Goldman Sachs to its clients against investing in Bitcoin. Tyler Winklevoss wrote:

According to Counterpoint Research, in the fourth quarter, Samsung’s phones held 18% of the global smartphone market, on par with Apple Inc, it is convincing that a good number of people will have access to the app in the fourth quarter.
Interestingly, Gemini has been in the race of providing better services for crypto users as well as safely securing digital assets in its custody. The company had recently launched the world’s largest Crypto Captive Insurer to safeguard digital assets, as reported by Coinfomania.
Additionally, by the latest partnership, Gemini is now also the first crypto exchange company to allow U.S. and Canadian residents, who are using Samsung’s blockchain wallet to view balances in their wallet app. Users who want to trade with their assets are thus relieved of the stress of multiple log-ins as they will only be directed to Gemini’s mobile app.
