Pi Network & CiDi Games Partnership Unlocks Real Gaming Utility for Pi

Web3 Gaming as a Growth Engine of Pi/35 Million + Users

The Pi-CiDi alliance will utilize the viral adoption mode of using gaming to gain access to the massive 35 million user base of Pi. Enabling players to spend, earn, and circulate Pi in games, the network will establish natural demand loops to increase engagement and build the internal economy of Pi.

CiDi Games is a scalable Web3 games starter, with the ability to onboard high player counts, and thus a natural choice as an early partner as Pi continues to broaden its utility roadmap.

Response of Community: Popularity Mingled With Exasperation

The announcement prompted positive responses in the Pi community, with most referring to gaming as the killer app Pi has been waiting to receive. Nevertheless, the criticism also persists. Some section of the community is still concerned by the current KYC delays of Pi, the lengthened Mainnet schedule, and recent price volatility caused by unlocked supply. There is concern, however, that with no fully open mainnet, gaming utility can only continue as an early-stage experiment. Nevertheless, the alliance is largely considered to be a viable move towards material ecosystem development.
