The company now offers commission-free trading for over 11,000 U.S.-listed stocks and ETFs. This development allows users to manage both traditional and digital assets within a single platform.

Kraken Securities LLC is the FINRA-regulated broker-dealer platform for the new equities trading service. Kraken Securities LLC operates as a FINRA-regulated broker-dealer. This allows the company to serve stock and ETF trading products to clients. The service launches support in the U.S. states of New Jersey, Connecticut, and Wyoming before expanding its reach across national and international areas. Kraken uses Alpaca Securities’ self-clearing broker-dealer platform for trade execution and clearing services. Through their partnership clients gain access to a versatile trading platform for equities and securities exchange.

Kraken introduced FX perpetual futures contracts for stock trading of currency pairs. Aditonally, it included EUR/USD and GBP/USD in addition to their existing equity trading options. The forex market contracts accessible through Kraken Pro offer up to 20x leverage for individuals who want to invest in foreign exchange markets.

Embracing Institutional Collaboration

Kraken released “Kraken Embed” as a Crypto-as-a-Service (CaaS) solution. Thereby, letting banks together with fintechs provide crypto trading capabilities to their user base. Kraken made bunq the first neobank to integrate Kraken’s crypto services in a key move for promoting crypto adoption across Europe.
