Popular cryptocurrency exchange Huobi announced today that it has launched a digital assets management platform and custodial services for institutional investors with high net worth and a large trading team.

Huobi guarantees investors safe deposits of assets and provision of asset settlement and delivery of all transactions and engagements made on the newly launched platform.

The new development is aimed at helping institutions access high-quality quantitative investment channels. These channels will not only be backed by Huobi’s industry-leading security and risk controls, but they will also be managed by top crypto-assets managers as well as quantitative trading teams.

Ciara Sun, Vice President of Global Markets at Huobi Group, explained the need for the newly launched platform saying,

As the crypto market expands globally, we’re seeing growing demand for more nuanced trading products and services, especially from the institutional sector. These investors want access to high-quality quantitative investment platforms but up until recently the market has been highly fragmented.

Diving further into the motive behind it, she added that, “by bringing both sides of the market together in one platform, we want to build the bridge between traditional financial markets and the digital asset economy.”

Crypto assets managers and trading teams on Huobi’s asset management platform will undergo a compulsory audit by the company. The Huobi Wallet will basically ensure asset safety; meanwhile, trading strategies are restricted to mature products in only top exchanges.

The development will also cause the digital asset management to be more transparent as it would provide an objective evaluation system of net (crypto assets) value. This way, investors will be able to track true ROI.

The new platform will support the following trading platforms and products, respectively, Huobi, OKEx, and Binance; Spot, Cross Margin, Isolated Margin, Futures, and Perpetual Swap.

The service will also support the multiple digital assets including Bitcoin (BTC) Ether (ETH) Tether (USDT) EOS (EOS), Litecoin (LTC), Ripple (XRP), and nine other cryptocurrencies.
