Frankie MacDonalds on Bitcoin

Frankie McDonald is a Canadian amateur meteorologist from Whitney Pier in Sydney, Nova Scotia. MacDonald, who has autism, is popularly known by Canadians for his energetic online weather forecasts. But this time, he is up to something else.

The weatherman, MacDonald, is interested in cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, to be precise and dolled out some advice for anyone wondering whether bitcoin is valuable. In the latest video uploaded to his over 110k Twitter followers and over 250k YouTube subscribers, he reiterated that Bitcoin is worth far more than fiat dollars.

To further explain the theory of Bitcoin being better than the fiat dollar, he ran through numbers showing how much different units of bitcoin compare against the dollar. Beginning from 1BTC, which was trading at $11,683.9, and the time of the video, he concluded his calculation by mentioning 10 million BTC, which is worth $116,839,000,000.

“Bitcoin is worth so much money, and it is a cryptocurrency,” he concluded without disclosing whether or not he is invested in Bitcoin.

Interestingly, Frankie’s favorite words and self-composed song which have endeared him to his weather forecast listeners is “Be Prepared,” and could easily apply to his latest recommendation of Bitcoin for his followers.

Meanwhile, this is not the first time a famous person from a different profession is professing the awesomeness of Bitcoin. Last week, we reported a similar incident involving reported that David Portnoy, an American internet celebrity, blogger, and founder of the sports and pop culture blog Barstool Sports.

The internet celebrity said that he wants the Winklevoss twins to explain the fundamentals of the cryptocurrency to him. After inviting the Winklevoss twins to explain cryptocurrency to him, he also said that he would “buy all Bitcoins” if the Winklevoss twins would accept his invitation, and they took the invitation.

Russell Okung, American football offensive tackle for the Carolina Panthers, is also a vocal Bitcoin supporter. In August 2019, he organized an educational event that covered the fundamentals of Bitcoin for rookies to the cryptocurrency.
