Former Binance CEO “CZ” Shares Crucial Details About His Newest Project

Binance CZ

Binance’s former CEO, Changpeng Zhao (CZ), is launching a new education-focused project called Giggle Academy.

Five months on from his resignation from Binance, former CEO Changpeng Zhao is back to building. On Monday, the experienced entrepreneur revealed he was working on a new project that is not related to the cryptocurrency space. Fast-forward to the present, Zhao has revealed a new educational project called Giggle Academy.

According to a concept paper, the goal of the new project is to provide basic education for all. The primary addressable audience includes kids who do not have the opportunity to be in school, as well as illiterate adults, representing around 75% of the world’s adult population.

Giggle Academy will aim to provide educational content at the grade 1-12 level and will include important subjects currently not available in the traditional school curriculum. Such subjects include entrepreneurship, blockchain, AI, negotiations, finance, and a few others outlined by the project as focus areas.

Meanwhile, the project will remain completely free and operate as a non-profit venture. The former Binance CEO will fully fund the project, revealing in the concept paper that he believes it to be “one of the most impactful ways to spend money.” He also flaunted his ability to build teams and software as an expertise, as opposed to other non-profit ventures that he may have embarked on.

Giggle Academy with Employ NFTs and Gamification

While CZ’s project is largely crypto-unrelated, the former Binance CEO will do more than introduce blockchain into the educational curriculum. Giggle Academy will adopt a gamified approach to education, a concept widely experimented with in the Web3 gaming space.

At the same time, the project will introduce so-called NFT badges to boost learner appeal. Learners will also collect points along the way, with the education focused on progressive and systematic growth.

In the meantime, CZ’s new project is actively hiring and seeking out potential partnerships with other relevant charities.
