The Man Behind BTC: Ex-Twitter Co-Founder Is Believed To Be The Man Behind BTC

The true identity of the BTC creator is like the bigfoot of the crypto industry. Everyone has a theory, but nobody knows who he truly is. As a result, the question about the true identity of BTC creator is a million-dollar question. New theories suggest that it is the bearded tech sage behind Twitter, Jack Dorsey.

This new theory popped up just months after HBO released a documentary named “Money Electric: The Bitcoin Mystery.” In the documentary, director Cullen Hoback claimed that a 39-year-old Canadian software developer named Peter Todd is behind the Satoshi Nakamoto pseudonym. The assumption was received with criticism and led Todd to go into hiding due to security concerns.

    New Evidence

On the other hand, new evidence suggests that Todd might not be Satoshi. The man behind Twitter, Jack Dorsey, is the likely suspect of being Satoshi Nakamoto. Matthew Sigel, head of digital asset research at VanEck, brings this new theory to light. As per Sigel, Dorsey secretly worked on BTC while working on Twitter.

In a series of lengthy posts on X, Sigel argued that Dorsey possessed the motive and technical know-how to create BTC. Sigel tried connecting the dots with the aid of circumstantial evidence that loosely hints towards Dorsey being Nakamoto. Sigel even argues that revealing the true identity of the maker of BTC might not affect the price of the coin in any way. It can spark interest in the token. Which can catapult the token to newer heights.

Sigel is not the only person who thinks Dorsey is the man behind BTC. In his own ‘joining the dots’ efforts, Sean Murray, president of deBanked, shared some weird coincidences. Firstly, the first-ever BTC transaction happened on the eve of Jack Dorsey’s mother’s birthday. Secondly, Satoshi mined the final BTC block on Dorsey’s father’s birthday.

Murray highlighted one small event where Satoshi Nakamoto’s GMX email was hacked. The hacker wanted to extort Satoshi regarding his identity and connection to St. Louis, Missouri. This was the place where Dorsey was born and raised. Therefore, circumstantial evidence points out that Dorsey might be behind BTC.

As of now, Dorsey has not shared any comment on the rumor. However, this is not the first time such a thing has happened to Dorsey. In 2020, Dorsey openly denied the claims of him being the man behind Satoshi Nakamoto. When the internet mogul was asked about the same, he replied, “No, and if I were, would I tell you?” Therefore, the only way to get a confession is to bring hard evidence. However, evidence suggests that Dorsey might be the person behind BTC.
