Ethereum Soars Past $2,500? ETH Market Trends Sees Bullish Breakout with Pectra Upgrade & 10% TVL Jump!

Ethereum’s price has recently reclaimed the $2,000 support level. However, it remains 18% below its previous $2,500 high. The altcoin has lagged behind the overall market, leaving investors questioning whether it will be able to regain its bullishness. However, the ETH Pectra upgrade, institutional adoption, and declining exchange supply could drive ETH toward recovery.

    Ethereum’s Institutional Adoption and TVL

Ethereum is still the DeFi leader with a total value locked (TVL) of $52.5 billion. Ethereum’s TVL has risen 10% over the last 30 days, thanks to protocols such as Sky (formerly Maker) and Ethena, which have grown 17% and 38%, respectively.

Institutional adoption is also increasing; Ethereum, with $8.9 billion in assets, is the only altcoin with a U.S. spot ETF. BlackRock’s BUILD fund, which runs on Ethereum, recently crossed $1.5 billion, affirming Ethereum’s leadership in blockchain adoption.

Ethereum Upgrade: What Traders Need to Know

Ethereum’s ETH Pectra upgrade is scheduled for release between late April and early June. It is set to enhance network scalability and reduce transaction fees. Key improvements include increasing block data capacity, optimising storage through higher call data costs, and introducing smart accounts for flexible gas fee payments. Moreover, the upgrade will enhance staking effectiveness by enabling validators to merge deposits, thereby enhancing Ethereum’s competitiveness with Solana and BBN Chain.

On March 27, 2025, Everstake posted an update on X, confirming that the Pectra upgrade had gone live successfully on the Hoodi testnet. The milestone has boosted tentative optimism within the Ethereum ecosystem, with traders keeping a close eye on its rollout. Successful implementation could enhance trust in Ethereum’s future, whereas delays or technical problems would affect short-term momentum.

Ethereum Price Analysis and Resistance Levels

Ethereum currently trades at $2,028, down by -0.06%, and has a 24-hour low of $2,028.08 and a high of $2,029.15. According to ETH Market Trends, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) stands at 40.49. It is moving toward oversold levels, suggesting that buyers may be inclined to purchase. The volume traded over 24 hours still stands at a robust 233.68 million, showing steady market activity.

Investor sentiment before the ETH Pectra Upgrade suggested that ETH had significant resistance between $2,100 and $2,150. An RSI value below 50 indicates weak momentum, which is why sentiment remains negative. If ETH fails to reclaim strength above its moving average, it could validate a bearish flag pattern, potentially leading to a retest of the $1,818 support level.

    Future Outlook for Ethereum Price

If Ethereum maintains network stability and the upgrade goes as planned, ETH could reach $2,500. The April 25 mainnet launch remains tentative, depending on discussions in the Ethereum All Core Developers Consensus (ACDC) meeting. As crypto investment demand grows and supply declines, Ethereum’s long-term outlook remains bullish.

Final Thoughts: Will Ethereum Skyrocket or Crash?

The ETH market trends, combined with increasing TVL and institutional support, make a compelling case for a price recovery. While short-term price movement is uncertain, Ethereum’s fundamentals continue to improve. Additionally, a sustained decline in exchange supply and growing demand from institutional investors could further accelerate Ethereum’s upward momentum.
