Crypto Price Update October 5: Market Resurges as BTC Climbs $62K, But REEF Plummets 14%

The crypto market has shown signs of a resurgence today as the majority of the coin prices are trading in green according to the crypto heat map market overview. Over the last 24 hours, the total market valuation has increased by 1.59% to $2.16 trillion. After a few days of downtrend ignited by the geopolitical tension in the Middle East, the market is looking to end the week on a positive note.

Notably, the general market sentiment now reflects a ‘neutral’ state as presented by the crypto fear and greed index. This is a significant jump from yesterday’s ‘fear’ sentiment. However, while the market is gaining momentum, the REEF coin has taken a different direction, declining by over 14% in the last 24 hours. Below is an overview of the crypto market and how the prices of the top crypto have reacted in the last 24 hours.

    Top Crypto Prices Today

After dipping to $60k earlier today, the price of Bitcoin has regained momentum, reclaiming the $62k level as it struggles to regain its weekly loss. According to on-chain data, BTC increased by 1.60% to change hands at $62,193. However, its one-day trading volume declined by 21% to rest at $27.3 billion.

The recent price increase coincides with a $25.59 million BTC ETF inflow as of October 5. Bitcoin’s market cap now stands at $1.22 trillion.

Earlier today, Coinfomania reported an increase in Bitcoin whale activity after an ancient whale from 2009 returned to move $3.2 million BTC to the Kraken exchange. Even though this action depicts bearish, it has failed to impact the upward trajectory maintained by BTC today.
