Camping World Holdings, Inc., one of  America’s largest recreation dealers, revealed in a press release the conclusion of a partnership deal with cryptocurrency payment service provider BitPay that will allow its clients to make payments for recreational vehicle (RV) purchases with cryptocurrencies.

The announcement came after Camping World revealed its plans to build a platform for a paperless, online RV purchasing experience. Fueled by the Company’s renewed goal of moving the RV marketplace forward, Camping World decided to venture into the crypto industry through BitPay.

Clients who use RV services provided by American recreation dealers and choose to pay with cryptocurrencies can do so with Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), or other cryptocurrencies through a variety of digital wallets.

Camping World, with its headquarters in Lincolnshire, Illinois, deals with the sale of recreational vehicles, recreational vehicle parts, recreational vehicle services, and supplies for camping through mail order and online.

The company which became publicly traded in October 2016 with an IPO of $251 million also sponsors different sports organizations like the Camping World Stadium and the Camping World Kickoff, which is played in the same stadium.

Other sports teams include Major League Baseball’s League Championship Series, NASCAR’s Camping World Truck Series, and the National Hot Rod Association’s Camping World Drag Racing Series.

Although the company did not mention that it will add bitcoin to its balance sheet by sealing the deal with BitPay, its customers can experience more convenience while purchasing products and more clients will be attracted.

The press release also mentioned that the initial launch will take place in branches of the company located in Chicago, IL, and Kenosha, WI locations, while other locations that sell RVs and their e-commerce platforms will be included later this summer.

The CEO and chairman, Marcus Lemonis commented, “As the industry leader, we have a responsibility to adapt to new preferences and elevate the customer experience, whether through the products and services we offer or in the ways we interact and transact with the customer.” He concluded, “Accepting cryptocurrency is simply another part of our vision to make RVing easier in an increasingly digital world.”
