BitMex CEO Believes That The TRUMP Meme Coin Can Change The Political Landscape

There is widespread volatility in the current crypto market. Everywhere you look, coins are doing rounds. They are either shooting up by a huge margin and then plummeting suddenly, or there is a gradual decline. As a result, the fear/greed index reflects the fear among investors. In other words, people simply dump their coins to minimize their losses. However, investors who chose the TRUMP meme coin seemed to be experiencing stability. 

While most crypto tokens struggle to keep up with the market, TRUMP is sailing smoothly. The coin just experienced a gradual spike of 5%, where the price of the coin reached $16.40. This spike could be due to several aspects. However, sources suggest that the spike came right after BitMEX CEO Arthur Hayes suggested that the coin has the potential to even outperform BTC. As a result, the coin gradually rose, and the price reached $16.87. As a result, TRUMP managed to outperform its competitors SHIB, DOGE, and PEPE. 

Hayes’ Prediction 

The global trade volume just reached a total of 1.5 billion US dollars. This is a 102% hike from the previous years. Therefore, it can be safely said that the market is positively reacting to digital assets like crypto. Therefore, Hayes believes that crypto will dictate the future, and memecoins will transcend from their current status and play an actual role.  

Hayes has always been outspoken about his opinion. He is known to be a man who harbors bold statements and over-the-top opinions about crypto. This time, he returns with his take on the TRUMP meme coin. In his blog post published by Medium, Hayes clearly stated that the TRUMP meme coin is a political meme coin. Hayes stated, “Trump is the first politician and arguably one of the top three most globally powerful politicians… to launch his own memecoin. Trump has ushered in a new era of political memecoins.” 

Hayes believes this is not just the future of the crypto industry but also how politics would work. In a section, Hayes said, “Political memecoins offer zero-knowledge proof of political popularity. Specifically, as an individual, you can now privately support a politician by purchasing their meme coin, who your friends abhor, and face no social stigma.” This might sound complicated, but it certainly makes sense.
