To strengthen its foothold on the US market, bitFlyer USA, the United States focused arm of Japan’s bitFlyer exchange has launched its first trading campaign for new customers in the US.
Per a press release shared with Coinfomania, the new 0% trading fee campaign open to both new and existing customers on bitFlyer USA will apply for only the BTC/USD trading pair, the highest traded market on the exchange.
All BTC/USD spot trades (maker and taker) on bitFlyer’s Lightning trading platform will incur zero trading fees, with the campaign expected to be active until a yet to be determined date, for which bitFlyer has promised to give a two weeks notice before termination.
Additionally, the zero-fee campaign will feature alongside bitFlyer USA’s first-ever trading contest in the US. Dubbed “Trade Grand Prix,” the contest which begins February 10th, 2020 is open to all users and will reward the top 10 traders a total of $1600 based on their weekly and daily trading volumes.
The exchange had earlier launched its affiliate program for US and EU customers, aside from an existing campaign for its Japanese audience where it stands as a major market leader.
Launched in 2014, bitFlyer maintains the largest bitcoin trade volume by the exchange in Japan and remains the only exchange licensed to operate across the US, Japan and Europe combined.
In December last year, the exchange announced support for Ripple (XRP) to allow traders to buy and sell the cryptocurrency on its platform.
Meanwhile, traders looking to make more profit while trading may consider using cryptocurrency trading robots like Bitcoin Pro. Nonetheless, cryptocurrencies are risk investments and traders are advised to do their own research before they invest or start trading.
