Battle Racers Item Pre-Sale for Decentraland Launches in Mid-May

Battle Racers, a blockchain game by Altitude Games for the Decentraland platform, will begin its item pre-sale on May 15, 2019, giving players early access to items and customizations that can be used in the Battle Racers game.

Battle Racers is an action-packed arcade game where you will build, race, and battle model cars on arcade-sized tracks. You can mix and match parts and weapons to create your perfect car, then use its combat skills to beat other players to the finish line. Cars can also be tokenized into ERC-721 non-fungible tokens, giving each race car a recorded history of wins, exclusive gameplay buffs, and the ability to be traded on the open market.

The game is currently in beta and will be a launch title when Decentraland is fully released.

Altitude Games, the game studio behind Battle Racers, will open a closed multiplayer demo to select parties before the item pre-sale.

“The item pre-sale will give players and collectors the chance to get exclusive car parts that no one else will have. It’s the first time that blockchain gamers can take part in our game’s development – to see, own, and very soon race
the cars that they can build from parts in our pre-sale. They will become our very first batch of racers.”- Luna Javier, Creative Director and Co-Founder, Altitude Games

Battle Racers will be holding an item pre-sale starting Wednesday, May 15, 2019, on their website. The item sale will go live on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at 10:00am EDT (GMT-4), 7:00am PDT (GMT-7), and 4:00pm CET (GMT+2).

Buyers can purchase crates of car parts for MANA, ETH, and fiat currency. These car parts are exclusive for the item sale and will never be available again. Parts will be minted on the Loom sidechain and include four types: Body, Front, Rear, and Wheels, as well as four rarities: Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary.

Rarer parts can be upgraded to higher levels and have unique aesthetics; the Legendary rarity is exclusive to the item pre-sale and will never be dropped again once the pre-sale ends. The pre-sale total purchases will be limited to
    2000 ETH.

Altitude Games has partnered up with sister company Alto to develop and run the event.

    About Decentraland

Decentraland is an Ethereum-powered virtual world, where individuals, brands, and studios can develop rich, interactive 3D content on a decentralized platform.
