CryptoQuant CEO stated today that the altcoins market is open now. After all, it is the altcoins season. ETH, SOL, and other coins are on the rise. But traders have major disagreements. Is the alt season here?
CryptoQuant CEO, Ki Young Ju made a bold statement regarding altcoins today. Noteworthy is that altcoins are showing bullish signs of making a market rebound.
In an X post, he said that “the alt season has begun.” This comment sparked controversies as traders around the world have been waiting eagerly for an impending alt season to flow in since Jan 2025.
A week ago, experts were saying that the alt season may be delayed by some months. Meanwhile, the BTC season is already here to exist. In a matter of 48 hours, BTC is up from $97,000 to $98,5000.
This upturn could however mean that BTC will dominate the market for some days now. Meanwhile, the crypto community also believes that the price surge of BTC also brings a positive ripple in the crypto world, impacting the prices of most other coins.
Altcoins’ Trading Volume Surpasses Bitcoin
A sure indicator that the Altcoin is beginning is the surge in trading volume. Ethereum and Solana are pulling reasonable trading volumes. Is this a shift in coin dominance or a story of parallel reign?
Young Ju commented- there is no direct rotation from BTC to atcoins. That means traders are not sifting from BTC to altcoins voluntarily. Rather, the surge in BTC price is acting as a pillar for the other coins to grow.
The adoption rate May Differ.
Going forward this trend may overtake BTC. People are making a natural shift to stablecoins like USDT and USDC. Later they will buy more altcoins and usually avoid stablecoins including Bitcoin.
Is This The Real Alt Season?
A shift in the market is visible. However, traders are confused about how long it is to stay! After all, crypto is a crate of volatility. The altcoin season is surely here. However, Young Ju warns that all seasons may not be equally profitable for the traders.
Controversies sparked when a reader, RobW questioned Ju’s observations. According to him, a few tokens are only performing well. Does that mean the alt season is superficial and temporary?
So, the controversy remains!
